The name William Price needs no introduction to fans of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. His slides and movies of B&O have thrilled thousands, and Clear Block Productions is proud to present VIGNETTES OF THE BALTIMORE & OHIO - VOLUME 3, featuring Bill's films of Steam's final stand on Sand Patch Grade in the 1950's.
While the B&O's classic EM-1's, T-3's, Q-4's, and Big 6's still rule, the torch is in the process of being passed to the successor E- and F- units, FA's and BP's at locations including Cumberland, Hyndman, Corriganville, Williams, Brackens, Fairhope, Mance, Manila, Sand Patch, and Keystone.
B&O steam in the 1940's is also presented through the black white films of Charles W. Houser, Sr., and Donald Wertz. Charlie Houser filmed the former Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh at East Salamanca, NY in 1949, continuing the coverage of the BR&P begun in Volume 2, while Donald Wertz filmed the Baltimore area in 1941.
The diesel revolution on the B&O continues in VIGNETTES OF THE BALTIMORE OHIO - VOLUME 4, featuring more of Bill's films of the 1950's and 1960's, as the Diesel wrests control of the High Iron from Steam.
